Marine formulation, gap filling pre gelled epoxy structural adhesive for gluing clean, sound substrates. A long open time with cure overnight, even at low temperatures, aids quick turnaround. Particularly suitable for bonding dissimilar substrates. A smooth and creamy paste with excellent hold-up on vertical surfaces.

A versatile epoxy structural adhesive available in an easy to use one to one ratio, by volume or weight.

Once you have used a pre gelled easymix 1:1 epoxyglue, it will be very hard to go back to messy, off ratio 3 part mixing. (epoxy resin + hardener + glue powder)

Not much dearer than mixing your own in material cost, but considerably cheaper when ease and speed of application are considered.

Easymix, pre gelled similar consistency resin and hardener, 1:1 ratio by volume or weight.

Throw away glue powder. Eliminate messy off ratio 3 part mixing. Eyeballing is easier with Easymix 1:1. Only mix enough for the job.

Non-shrink, non-slump, high impact resistance.

Non staining, solventless.

Very high cohesive (internal) strength, essential in gap filling glues.

When mixed, it is a similar shade to light coloured timbers. Varnish over without spoiling the natural timber effect.

Will cure within 12 hours to a reinstatement condition at temperatures down to 5C. Full cure approx. 3-7 days. Ideally in winter, a cover and an external source of heat should be used to warm the immediate work vicinity.

Not designed as a stand alone product below the waterline, but will give exceptional water resistance. Overcoat with a pure epoxy, EPG 4:1 laminating system.

Timber : DO NOT use on Boric treated timber. Partial loss of adhesion can result. Plane and sand surface to a fair condition. Degrease surface if necessary; this is important with oily timbers such as teak. Cross hatch sand with 100 grit paper.

Steel : Degrease surface if necessary. Abrasive blast clean to give a sharp profile. Vacuum away all blasting dust. Alternatively abrade with medium sandpaper. Alternatively, degrease and power wire brush or metal disc clean to bright steel or as best as possible.

Aluminium : Degrease and abrasive blast clean with sand to give a sharp profile. Alternatively use a proprietary aluminium etch cleaner as per the instructions on the bottle.

GRP : Degrease and cross hatch sand with 60-100 grit paper. Polyester must be fully cured. Take special care as surface wax may be present and must be removed. Can result in partial loss of adhesion.

Custom wood, Particle board : (Bench tops, etc) Sand as per timber.

Measure out equal quantities by volume or weight onto a flat board and mix thoroughly. Apply immediately to the clean, prepared substrate. Do not alter the ratio or you will experience a slower cure and lower physical strengths.

Apply with a clean spatula or notched trowel to both prepared surfaces and clamp lightly together. DO NOT over clamp as glue starvation may result. At 20oC, you will have 20 - 30 minutes working time. Discard not required excess as it will polymerise. Never return mixed product to the container. Coverage is one square metre per litre at one millimetre film thickness.

Being inert once completely cured, will accept all top coat systems. Degrease and sand if necessary. Check top coat product instructions for suitability.

250ml + 250ml = 500ml pack
500ml + 500ml = 1 litre pack
1lt + 1lt = 2 litre pack
4lt + 4lt = 8 litre pack
10lt + 10lt = 20 litre pack

Use Epoxy solvent for clean up of uncured resin on brushes and rollers. Use disposable containers and spatulae.
Never add solvent to EPOXYGLUE as this will become entrapped in the cure and considerably weaken it.

EPOXYGLUE will keep in excess of two years if stored in tightly sealed original containers.
Keep in a cool place. Do not store near boilers or other sources of heat. Do not store in direct sunlight.

Because of its consistency, this is an unfiltered product. Whilst the raw materials conform to narrow specifications, some discreet particles may be evident. These will sand easily, and overcoating with a 2-component epoxy laminating resin or sanding sealer is recommended.

Contains no isocyanate. Epoxy resins and amine resin hardener constitute the reactive components of this system. Use disposable plastic gloves to avoid skin contamination. If resin comes into contact with skin, wash uncured resin off with soap and water. Epoxy solvent should never be used to wash hands. Wear safety glasses to avoid eye contamination.
